Adieu!

     Hello fellas, it's my last hello to you.


    We have came to the end of this semester so the end of my Educational Technologies class. Let's talk about my earnings and thoughts about that adventure before my farewell to you.

    I've always knew that technology is important and going to be important in English language teaching for me. However; I wasn't quite sure how I can use technology as a future teacher and I was afraid of not knowing enough about it. I was right. Because I've learned so many things like infographics, making a podcast, digital storytelling etc. Besides, I have built a relevance between these things and and education. For example, I can use digital storytelling and infographics to teach boring subjects in a funny way! I can know my students better with bookreview and they can do this for themselves. The only thing that I did and I'm not really certain is posters. I don't know how I can use them for class environment.

    Sooo we came to my favourites 💟. One of my fav assignments, p.s. duties, is digital storytelling. Actually, it was the hardest one but also the most entertaining for me. The main reason for this is making it with my best friend. We have a lot of fun together. And I did something that I love, drawing and designing. The other one is bookreview since I liked reading book advices. I can't say I like my first assignment after the welcoming post though. It was just a classic essay and I don't like writing so much.

    Farewell time. I'm so happy that you were with me in this adventure.

 No word needed, eh? Well, it was rough, I'll be honest but also it was beautiful. The most beautiful part of this course was that it made me go out of my comfort zone. I've learned many things and I feel a little more confident about technology. Also, we dealt with the hardships together with my best friend and that is another great side of this course. I want to thank to my dear friend Gülsüm. I'm proud of us since we are both not good at technology. This is a big success for us. If we want to talk about assigments, I accept that they are good to learn but there is also a negative side for me: they really called for facility. For example, while we were making our 3D images, Assemblr was heavy for our computer and we couldn't even upload some images we found. My partner waited for 3 hours just to sign in to the app. Powtoon was also the same. I had to reopen my computer sometimes because it stopped working. a grammar teaching video for flipped classroom

🍙 Welcome! 🍙  Today I won't present you something you don't know (if you read my last post) but a different version of it. There is a small difference.     Last week, I have told you about what a flipped classroom is. It is an approach to the classroom environment in which w e use some tools such as videos, slides before the class to prepare students for the lesson, than give them the chance to learn themselves. Roughly, we only prepare our students but they learn themselves. Last week we made a vocabulary teaching video for the middle school students. This time we have created a grammar teaching video for high school prep clasroom.     While making our video, we used  Powtoon as our tool again. Because as I understood, learning how to use a website is harder than creating a video. So we continued with a tool we already knew. My First Wikiing Experience: Bookreview

Hellooo! I wasn't here last week so I thought that we should make a cheerfull entry because we are cheerful people right?     This week I made my first wiki page. I was supposed to choose a book that I like and talk about it on my page. I chose a psychological drama which is called "Story of a Downfall" by Stefan Zweig. For me, writing a book review wasn't that hard. On the contrary it was fun. I really loved wiki because I can see my classmates' recommendations. I think I am going to read all of them. Also it has a basic design so it was so easy to understand. I haven't faced any hardness. I think I am going to use wiki with my students in the future since it's a good way to make them know their classmates better.
