 No word needed, eh? Well, it was rough, I'll be honest but also it was beautiful. The most beautiful part of this course was that it made me go out of my comfort zone. I've learned many things and I feel a little more confident about technology. Also, we dealt with the hardships together with my best friend and that is another great side of this course. I want to thank to my dear friend GΓΌlsΓΌm. I'm proud of us since we are both not good at technology. This is a big success for us. If we want to talk about assigments, I accept that they are good to learn but there is also a negative side for me: they really called for facility. For example, while we were making our 3D images, Assemblr was heavy for our computer and we couldn't even upload some images we found. My partner waited for 3 hours just to sign in to the app. Powtoon was also the same. I had to reopen my computer sometimes because it stopped working. So maybe the websites or app could be eaiser to use. Buttt, no

Webquest

 Hello everyone! We have came to the end of this year in Turkey. In an other saying, this is my last assignment. In this assignment me and  GΓΌlsΓΌm  have created a webquest. Students may don't know how to make an assignment we give them so they feel confused, unmotivated and insufficient sometimes. Here is where the webquests come. In a webquest, teachers supply all the information to them in detail. We teach them everything and give them the tools and examples. Because it is an internet based project, students can use them everytime as their guide. They are consist of an introduction, task, process and evaluation part. In our webquest, we chose a project from a book we were given and made it technology-enhanced. The original project was creating a hadmade sports magazine. We turned it into an e-magazine! Your new and more contemporary Gamze salutes you.      Today, I am here to announce to you that I have a new hardest duty since anytime I say "It's the hardest.", the more challenging duty has came this term. Our hardest friend is called Augmented Reality . With this technology, you can view pictures, videos and 3D images in a 3D environment. It means that you can see a 3D image, video or a picture in anywhere in front of you.     For our assignment we used Assemblr. It was good enough but caused some problems as well. The app was heavy for my computer so it took a while to make our videos or 3D image in it. Also, the app which is on our phones don't always scan the codes. For our assignment we had to choose a city and narrate it in a handout with using AR.  GΓΌlsΓΌm and I chose Luxor because I love Egypt. Let's look at our work! πŸ™ Welcome! πŸ™  Today I won't present you something you don't know (if you read my last post) but a different version of it. There is a small difference.     Last week, I have told you about what a flipped classroom is. It is an approach to the classroom environment in which w e use some tools such as videos, slides before the class to prepare students for the lesson, than give them the chance to learn themselves. Roughly, we only prepare our students but they learn themselves. Last week we made a vocabulary teaching video for the middle school students. This time we have created a grammar teaching video for high school prep clasroom.     While making our video, we used  Powtoon as our tool again. Because as I understood, learning how to use a website is harder than creating a video. So we continued with a tool we already knew. Hardest Duty Ever: Flipped Classroom Approach

 Hola everyone, welcome to y'all! Today I am here with a tough duty. Let's talk about it.     This duty's subject is flipped classroom approach. It is an approach which includes student-centered environment and aims to make students active. So basically we make students learn themselves. We use some tools such as videos, slides before the class to prepare students for the lesson, than give them the chance to learn themselves. With that feature of this approach, the main role in the class goes for the pupils and the side role for the teacher.     In this assignment, me and my partner -bestie- present you a video and a handout we have created for a flipped classroom. The hardest part of it was creating the video. Since we had no experience in this matter, we couldn't see the problematic parts before we faced to them. Welcome to my first duty friends! It was hard but enjoyable but hard...     I made a language awarness task with my bestie again. In these tasks, the most important thing is helping students to make them discover. We make them notice. This type of learning is called as " inductive learning ". In our work, we created a corpus for our students' discovery. Corpus is a collection of written texts from different sources. In the corpus we made they all include two particular words. You can see it below. Then, we made some exercises in wich they can use their own earnings and develop themselves. And all these are called " data driven learning ". Super efficient way to lecture.     We decided to prepare our work in the theme of Marauder's Map from Harry Potter because we believe it will attract our students more. I found different sentences from my Harry Potter books and made a corpus while my friend was making practices. Then we put them together with Canva. Here

    It's me, Gamze, again. But what's happening and why am I here? I will explain to you but firstly let's have a brief chat, shall we?     I was in a short school holiday in Turkey. In these days I did nothing but watching anime and reading books/manga since I was at home all the time. I've watched Neon Genesis Evangelion for the second time, finished Attack on Titan's manga and started to read Jujutsu Kaisen as well as Harry Potter (second time again). Complicated right? I blow hot and cold. I hope you had funier times than mine. Now I am excited for my new term and I will try to do better than I did last term.     To come to the other issue, why I'm here, the reason is that  I have a new course to share with you! It's called Material Design in English Language Teaching. It's about technology in education. My teacher is going to give me some assignments and I will share them with you.
